The Living Web of Integration

At The Macro, we believe that the frameworks of psychedelic integration, the intentional practice of wrapping structure, meaning, and community around a profound, consciousness-expanding experience, can serve as an empowering resource by which to skillfully navigate many of life’s challenges.

Attempts to rigidly define what is or is not “psychedelic” are beside the point. Consciousness is vast, mysterious, and shared by all sentient beings. A mind-expanding experience certainly can, but does not require a sacrament or a formal ritual; it can emerge naturally through art, relationship, movement, storytelling, breath, birth, grief, and euphoria.

The work of processing our human experiences is underrated but omnipresent, the integration of our experiences is everywhere. We aspire to present a broad ecosystem of practitioners with insights to share via crafted offerings and experiences, that can help us learn to live more skillfully in relation to ourselves, our loved ones, our communities, and our planet.

Our Mycelial Network

Beneath the forest floor, a mycelial network connects individual organisms into a vast living system that shares information, nutrients, and resilience. What appears separate above ground is deeply interconnected below.

THE MACRO operates to amplify the network’s messaging, weaving together a diverse ecosystem of practitioners, creators, and guides whom we call “Symbionts.” They are birth and death doulas, therapists, herbalists, artists, clinicians, ceremonialists, guides and educators. By organizing their wisdom into five core structural “Nodes”, we provide a easily accessible map for human transformation.

The Macro as a Business

We believe sustainable work deserves sustainable support. Our goal is to create provocative journalism and inspiring content, concurrently with an inspired partner directory worthy of the financial support of our readers, partners, and sponsors. Even within a capital-centric landscape, collective intention and collaborative trade carry intrinsic value.
