When I retired from the SEAL Teams in 2018, I looked back on the disruptive war cloud of my career and realized that I never really knew who I was as a human. That realization catapulted me on the most unexpected and critical mission of my life: the journey within to discover Self. This mission led to the discovery of truths I would never have been able to imagine… truths that as a SEAL, I never even knew to look for.

Now, a life forged in shortcomings, broken bones, and failure has come to know powerful peace, deep humility, and profound gratitude for the life and people who have sharpened me along the way. After years of integration work with meditation, plant medicine, and mindfulness practice, I have come to a deeper awareness of who I am. Indeed, it is because of my forging that I know resilience at all.

Today, my mission is to serve others on their respective unique paths of pursuing powerful peace and connection to self.

As Executive Director of Warriorside, we confront the suicide crisis facing veterans and first responders by helping them transform lived experience into stories of strength and healing through recognizing their own unique and powerful forging process. 💰As a 501(c)(3), we welcome those called to contribute to our mission in the fight to end suicide through conscious storytelling and shared purpose.
